Dr.Maria Smetanina
Doctor Maria Smetanina — the owner of Lumi Dental — is an Albert Park local. She has been in private practice for more than fifteen years, serving Melbourne metropolitan area. Dr Smetanina has an extensive following that includes moms and dads, toddlers and grandparents.
Dr. Smetanina was always creative and liked working with her hands, but she was drawn to science too. After finishing art school back, she got a scholarship to study dentistry and has been rejecting the stereotypes of her profession ever since. Although, in classic dentist fashion, she loves asking questions while her patient’s mouth’s full of equipment. The long-standing joke about dentists, of course, is that they’re horrible. Lumi Dental is all about breaking the stereotypes – this dental appointment is unlike you’ve ever had.
